What do you think is a "slow loser" vs a "fast loser"?
LOL, doing the Segway tour at Disney is also one of my motivators! But I don't expect to be able to do that until sometime next year.
I've been pretty happy with my rate of weight loss so far - 35 lbs in the six weeks since surgery. I started out with a BMI over 60 though. I've only had one stall so far. I tried going very low carb for a few days this past week, but after having a major problem with constipation (ouch!), I've increased my carbs back up to 30-40 g/day.
If I were only losing one pound a week (like I have in the past on Weigh****chers), I would consider myself to be a slow loser. I sure hope that doesn't happen until I'm close to my goal.
I guess every one's body and mind are different! But it's true everyone seems to think they are a slow loser. i not to compare myself to others but it's impossible for me. I think I will focus on goal setting. But I hope to be down a lot by the end of July so I can by cool clothes in the states before I have to return here.

Estella,
I also "feel" like a slow looser, but anyone who can lose 25lbs in amonth is not SLOW!! I lost 23 th first month and now at 4months (this week), I have lost 45lbs. I know other people have lost faster than me, but I KNOW this is permanent, so I am ok with only 1-3lbs per week, and I know my skin needs the time to bounce back. We are lightweights so, like you said, if you go by the percentages, we would be fast losers too!
Good luck....you are doing GREAT!!
