OT: would you date a man who's 40 lbs overweight?

Perhaps I am just looking for flaws, you could be right.  When I  consider taking on a life partner, I do way the pros and cons.  I would not be offended in the least if he were doing the same about me.  Honesty is important and I do ask him if there are things he dislikes about me. 

Aw come on, he's got a nice shed for his tool.  He's protecting it!  LOL  He looks pretty good to me...I've never been in to skinny men.

IMO, if you even have to ask, he's not "the one"  because if he was "the one" who made both your heart AND your hooey do back flips then you wouldn't care what he looked like, how much he weighed, or what anyone else thought.  
I was in a similar situation (before I was married, of course)  when I was single, no kids, never been married, and looking for someone with a smilar background then I realized that the guy that was making all crazy and gooey inside, in more ways than one, had been married, had 2 kids, and was currently dating 2 girls at once!   Aside from that, he looked like an ex-convict with long hair and I HATE long hair on guys.  But none of those things mattered to me cuz he really got me going; intellectually, physically, and emotionally.

I would say cut him loose....sounds like he deserves some one who likes/accepts everything about him, snoring, 40 pounds and all!!!
Sounds like you are looking for any excuse out of this....maybe you should look at why that is....What is wrong with you? What are your flaws? Afraid to be happy? Too picky? Maybe spend a little less time picking him apart and a little more time just enjoying his time?
If someone (and trust me there has been enough of them) didn't like me because of something soooooo shallow as my weight they are not worth my time PERIOD and it would be their loss...cuz I am awesome :)  So that would be my advice to him because he sounds pretty awesome!
In short my advice would be don't waste anymore of his time!

well I'm going to side with the poster a little bit , we all have a perference and I'm like the poster I don't want a man with a big belly and a forehead wider then the sea, look  you have to be happy with the one your with , and if your not feeling that person and your staying with them because of security thats not going to make a happy home , ok I have to be attracted to that person and if your not attracted to that .. then your not 

Does he know you've posted his pic?? if not, then would be a good idea to crop his head and, um, jockeys out of the pic.

As for the "look"- this is the kid of guy I find solid and am attracted to.

If he doesn't appeal to YOU, though, I hope you won't prolong it.
