Six days post-op...all of a sudden EVERYTHING looks good.

I'm still on clear liquids, but sometimes, I would kill for real food....

Still sipping and doing my water...I'll leave 'real' food to my dreams for now....

Yes, please do! We don't wanna disturb the healing procedure. Plus real food will be here before you know it.

Hey, surgery buddy!  I feel your pain, but I'm actually on full liquids.  My family had pizza tonight, only my alltime favorite food of all time ever, and it's the first time I sorta was interested in food.

I knew I liked the smell, and I can see me wanting to eat some at some point down the road, but after reviewing what I was feeling, I determined I definitely didn't want any.  I swear, I analyze everything, and that's gonna be interesting with this journey!

It is funny how today was the first day that real food seemed interesting to me too!

Can you believe it's been a week tomorrow?

What is Cribbins time line for food like? With Hamn it was 3 days clear liquids, 5 weeks full liquids (I had to beg him for refried beans at this stage and he said as long as I watered them down to liquid with milk!) then 1 week pureed. Is Cribbins as strict?

I'm only on day 3 and I already dreamed that I ate 3 fistfulls of popcorn the first night home. The second night I dreamed I ate something else. Can't remember. This is gonna be rough!

I'm feelings everyone's pain as well.  I'm 5 days post op.  A friend of mine cooked my husband and girls a chicken pot pie (homemade)...oooooohhhhh it smells so good every time my hubby heats it up.  I can't wait until Weds when I can have a cream of potatoe soup or mashed potatoes or yogurt or pudding.  For now, I sip, sip, sip, getting all (and then some) of my 64 ozs and 40 grams protein in.  A sugerfree popcycle here and there and some sugar free jello.  I tried chicken broth tonight and it just isn't worth the space.  I'd rather drink protein or some crystal light.  We WILL get through this and reach our goals!!!  God bless!

If you are anything like me, get ready for a BIG change in your diet! When I was on liquids and even on mushies, I would have KILLED for a double cheeseburger from Mc Donald's! But as I (and you) found out, the things I USED to love I CAN'T stand the site of anymore. Taco Bell (PUKE CITY now), Mc Donald's (SAME)...Hell, just about any fast (so called) food will just come right back up now! Even the commercials were hell for me at first. Now, I see those same commercials and get sick to my stomach!
Your life is going to change!!! Now I only eat fresh seafood, lean cuts of beef, chicken breasts and unsalted nuts. WATER, WATER, WATER and nothing bu****er I drink now! No more soda, beer or coffee!
I had my surgery Aug 11, 2009 and I am down 101 pounds. I feel great and look forward to exercise EVERY DAY!
I will post some more pics of myself here in a few days, but just take a look at where I came from.
GOOD LUCK and we are here to help you!!!!!
