This isn't the end, but a MCd's half hamburger isn't going to fix it. That type of behavior is what got us to the point of needing surgery, right? So, buckle down, stick to the basics, increase your exercise, make sure you're getting your protein in, and the scale will move. We didn't get fat overnight, it's not gonna fall off overnight.
Hang in there. You can do it.

I know exactly how you are feeling. I had my surgery March 16, and have been at a stall for over a week. You just have to keep doing what you are doing it will come off. Try to walk more if you can. Your body is still trying to hold onto everything but eventually it will adjust. I have stopped going on the scale I may go on once a week you may want to do the same. I didn't have a pre opt diet also so we both started from scratch. I know it's hard believe me, you feel you went through all this and the scale is not moving. It will I promise, but stop with the McD's it's not going to make things better.
You lost 20 lbs in four weeks - that's a lot of weight to lose in a short period of time.
It will get better!!!

Well first off...
The McD's is TERRIBLE! That's what 90% of us on here are: EMOTIONAL EATERS! Sad, happy, bored, tired, angry.....then we stuff our faces!
20 lbs in 4 weeks is a great start! "Rome wasn't built in a day" If you've been on this board for a year, you will see that depending on your starting weight, you make knock out 30, 40, 50 lbs in a month but if you are a "lightweight" meaning 300 and under, you won't see such a huge loss in the beginning!
I had the same concerns about three weeks out and Peanutfree Mom, bless her gorgeous heart, told me to take a deep breath and relax. She said, and I believe her word to be gospel (ha ha) that the first month sleeve patients can average 15-20 lbs in the first month and then an average of 5-10 each month following!
I started, as you can see my ticker, at 258 and I'm down to 229 in 5 week (29 lbs)! A lot of my weight issue was Pop, potatoes, chips, rice, fast food.....
If you don't mind telling us, what was your starting weight?
Get back on track sister! I've been eating small meals about every 2-3 hours that consist of chicken, string cheese, beans, yogurt, milk, bananas, oatmeal, sugar free popsicles, ice chips, a small amount of fruit juice, egg salad, hard boiled eggs, soups, water with Benefiber, Crystal Light, Kool-aid packets!
Soon you'll be able to add fruits and veggies back into your routine and that will help with variety!
I work 10 hours days so I must pack my lunch the night before and I try to change it up a bit so I don't get bored! Look up some recipes on the 'net and get some change in your diet! Maybe you're just bored!
And remember this, if you don't go to McD's your family can't go! Teach them a healthy way of life!
Good luck and don't get discouraged!

I agree with the others that 19 lbs loss in 1 months is pretty good going that is almost 5lbs a week,
your body has to adjust maybe in the last week instead of losing lbs your losing the inches from that great weight loss.
i dont know if you ate the buns or threw them away but had you thrown them away then although you could have made a better food choice its not the worst.
if you ate them then you might get cravings from eating the bread so have some protein snacks on hand to help fight the cravings boiled eggs, string cheese or some dense protein.
other than that if your stall keeps going change things up a bit and up your protein for a couple of days and make sure your getting in all your fluids..
good luck and next time your feeling down come to the forums before you order mcdonalds maybe just venting will help you get through.

You guys are the best, your all right i have never lost 20lbs in a month before. Peanutfree mom has been a total inspiration, she is a beautiful on the inside as the outside. I had promised the kids to do movie night and we ordered mcd's, i didnt have the fries or soft drink but i dont want to go back on that road. I use to eat a double cheeburger meal and extra cheese burger, fries drink and all. I guess since i didnt gain this overnight i wont lose it overnight. Thank you everyone for putting my butt back in line.
what would i do without you!
