6 months, -100 lbs, pictures!
Hi everyone!
Yesterday marked 6 months since my sleeve surgery. It just so happens that yesterday I weighed in at 224 lbs, which means a loss of 100.3 lbs! I am so, so happy that I was fortunate to have this procedure down. Yes, I had to pay for it out of pocket. I'm glad we were in a position to do so (with the help of a medical loan) and that I have such amazing family and friends for support. I waited for about a year to do my research, get my hubby on board, and get our finances together. Pre-ops - I know the wait is SO hard. But hang in there, your day will come.
This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I can MOVE. I can ENJOY my life with FREEDOM! I posted before and after (should be called "before and during" cuz I'm not done yet!) on my blog. It is the most recent entry. The next entry is my 6 month update.

I started at 324lbs and a size 26. After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011. My second daughter was born in September 2013. I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs. I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter. The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls. My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.
