I finally got my new camera - whoot!  I saw some cute dresses at TJMaxx so I tried them on!  Not sure if I should get them to wear them while grocery shopping.  The FMPs definitely are just for standing in or lying down in *chuckle* definitely not for grocery shopping.  :}

Newbies, on top of not having as much pain my body from lugging around 120some extra pounds, and the fistfull of comorbidities that were going to come from my staying heavy, *ONE* thing I really like is being able to pick out something to try on and a surreally hilarious size *for me* fits and does not leave me in tears.  I was getting some bathingsuit bottoms the other day off clarence (clearance) and I actually picked out shorts N bathingsuit stuff and left the dressing room in smiles.

I do not remember not hating clothes shopping for the longest time, from like 5th gradeish on even with my mama, ugg, clothes shopping was miserable.

Well, except with my husband, at any size I have been, he can walk into a clothing store, pick out a hand full of things for me to try on and they all are beautiful.  He gotz mad skills.

Anyway - here's some afore N now fotohoing, as promised.

Size 22s, April 2009.  A month before surgery, high 260s.
Size 6/8s November 2010.  I have been 6/8 size since last November, when I called goal "size" (instead of goal weight.  I did not know what size I would be at for anything, I have not been this size since before 6th grade. I weigh between 143 and 148, mid 150s if I come back from vacation or have a fun food session.  :} Ha!

Yaay!  Thanks for sharing my fun with me.

Thank you!!

I figured I could not afford plastics so I had to build a nice base for my extra skin to drape over.  :}

If you start with just bodyweight stuff, girlie pushups, triceps dips on a coffeetable or chair, those things work great too!  You do not have to be a heavy weight lifter or spend a zillion years in the gym to not feel as weird about arms!  :}

Write all the reasons NOW for wanting to be on the bench, and if you have days you resent the bench in the beginning, you can go over them with yourself.  :}

I have not regretted a single moment and the 2 biggest things for me were 1 - remembering to put the freaking hospital bed up all the way before I tried to get out!  2 - That with the liquids part of this, I had ONE CHANCE to have an excellent textbook surgery and recovery - and I needed to do my part, and follow my presurgery and after surgery liquid to mushy diets, because I had dieted my who freaking life, and this was going to be the last time I would have to do it and be really hungry with my panicked hunger.

My pointers

Lip balm to hospital.
Follow your program.
Measure yourself.
Take pictures of yourself now and along the way in different clothing - and you might not see a change on the scale or in inches, but pictures of yourself in a same outfit, you can see how it fits your way differently!  :}
Be sweet to yourself.

And welcome to the bench. :}

Chuckle - Paint cut it off the bottom, I thought I had it in the post

22s to 6/8s.  That dress is a 6.  I could use an 8 for public wearing, or maybe I could do the "tighten up" and fit in those 6s publicly!

I will edit the title!  :}  Thank you!
