Photo Update 10 months
Great Googily Moogily - you look like a different person! You must feel so great! Do you still think you look like the first photo? Or do you feel like you never were that? I ask that because lately I've been struggling with my identity looks-wise. I have lost 55 lbs, but I often FEEL like I'm BIGGER THAN EVER! I am more self conscious than i was before, too. I am aware and open with these feelings and am working through them - but it certainly is strange.
Congrats - you look great. And as for bouncing between the weights, it's all good sistah, it's a journey, right?

Thanks for asking because I do feel like I am still morbidly obese. It's really weird because even today a lady who is average size came up to me and said she had some pants that I could wear that were too small for her. I was like, um...are you nuts!?!?!? Except I didn't say it that way. But I realized that I was pretty close to her size.
I don't look at the before pics very often, so when I do, I am a little shocked by the bulk. But because I still have the same sags and folds, I still feel the same when I look in the mirror. I have a very large paunch belly, that while I know its smaller, it still hangs there, so I guess I wont' feel truly smaller or different unless I get plastic surgery, which I'm hoping to get someday. I'd like it on my upper arms and belly, and possibly around the underarms and side boob area. My boobs held up fantastically better than expected, and my thighs aren't THAT bad. But who knows what I may decided to do.
My brother picked me up and it was the first time i had ever been picked up in my adult life. Probably the first time since I was 5 or something since I've always been overweight. He picked me up like I was a ragdoll and all the while i was worried that i was straining him. Then he said it was easy.
It is indeed something that takes getting used to. I feel it will take a long time for the brain to catch up with the body.
