OMG I'm back in the 600s again
But you are right! You can find it locally, definitely!
*chuckle* Yea, the gallon size. Lesse.. yea, it was too weird in my coffee, but you can use it with anything you would use butter with. My husband's favorite grilled cheese, I use it instead of buttering the bread. If you were an oatmeal or a grits person, that would go well with it. One of my meal staples is meat/salsa/cheese and so I put a 1/2 T or whole T in there (depending on what nutrient macros I need for the day) after I nuke it up. I also make a yummy thing I call a Popeye Pie which is 1 ounce of spinach, 1 ounce of ground beef (or whatever meat you like), 1/2 T ground flax, 1 ounce of sliced up cheese and an egg, mixed up and I bake it, but I put the oil in the bottom of my little cooker container - and squeeze lime on top.
For things like putting it in my shakes, I use the macnut oil, or even roasted almond or walnut oil! Yumz!
Also! Virgin cold pressed has antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties! (random coconut oil trivia). I had a guinea pig who was immune compromised because he had been a back yard breeder cull and had horrible genes (poor buddy) and was prone to a horrible horrible fungus. I tried all the OTC stuff, the vet gave us some prescription stuff, which was so hard on his tiny GP gut and nothing got rid of it EXCEPT, the virgin coconut oil. Verra cool!
If you decide you do not like it in your food, you can always use it as a moisturizer and makeup remover too!
Or lube if you run out of KY jelly! :} Just sayin!
Its like a much more nutritious peanutbutter cup! yaay! Nutrition! 15 grams of protein! 6 net carbs! yaay! party in your mouth!
