Did your hunger ever go away?
Your post today totally sounds like mine, the uncertainties about will we actually be the ONE person that this procedure doesnt work for! I am about 4 weeks out and I too still feel hungry at times and it's very scary. However, I think Mandy is right b/c a girlfriend of mine is a little over 3 months out and actually passed out at the gym the other day because she FORGOT to eat...can you imagine? And I'm sitting here asking her, how could you FORGET to eat, lol...so, here's to hoping that our hunger subsides too, all the best :)
Haha, Yea forgetting to eat wouldn't even cross my mind at this point. ;) A girl can dream though.
And I do feel scared that I am gonna be "the one" this surgery doesn't work for. I remember reading posts like mine as a pre op and thinking.....what are they talking about, they had most of the stomach removed of course its gonna work...lol But now I am that poster. grrrrrrrrrr.
I will just give it time, I am sure it will be fine.

I think you will do just fine. I hope when I have a moment of despair you can rescue me too, lol. I can't say I am hungry but I definitely crave tastes that I smell or see. My brain still tells me that fresh baked bread and butter is good and I know it is but can't have it. While in Mexico, the doc said one thing that I keep going over in my head -- "it will take time for your brain to catch on to what your body has done". My brain is in shock but I am sure that we can handle it and pull through.
Best of luck!

60-70 gms of protein might not be enough. I have to get closer to 100 gms a day. I know you are early out,but exactly what kind of protein are you eating? More dense is better for the full feeling than other types.
I have to eat every two hours, heavy on protein even now,at 9 months out.
i would also try a different PPI if the one you are on doesn't help as well.
good luck,
holly
My hunger never went away. It was diminished for the first year, then at about a year post-op it started to get stronger. I'm just as hungry now as I ever was, I need to eat at least every 2 hours or the hunger is uncomfortable.
It just depends on the person. Some lucky people do lose their hunger completely.
