How has your life changed?

How has my life changed?

Bathroom towels fit around me...haha
No longer borderline diabetic.
No longer snoring loudly....just lightly on occaision when I am sick or stuffy.
Can walk for an hour and half several times a week when last year I was laid up in a soft cast for months with an inflamed ankle joint.
No longer have cankels!
I have gone from a size 24-26 (depending) down to 18 and even 16 and shrinking monthly.
I can have a little of anything I want and I never feel deprived..EVER
Instead of eating a whole bowl of ice cream each night like I used to I have a fruit bar or two and I'm totally satisfied.
No more fatty liver.
If I'm starving I just grab a bite or two to hold me over.

I can probably sit here all day and think of all the great things the sleeve has done for me.  I LOVE MY SLEEVE!

Honestly, it hasn't changed that much aside from the obvious things (smaller clothes, more confidence, feeling normal, more energy, etc). My relationships are more strained, but because I'm happier I am a better mom to my kids.

And my back hurts a whole lot less.

I was always super social, outgoing, confident pre-op so none of that changed with my weight loss. The major change is that I now have more energy and my joints do not ache constantly which leads to me being even more active.I'm able to do more things in a day than I could accomplish in a week. Sex with my husband is better because I had never had sex as a skinny person, and well that is just amazing. Not having fat rolls get in the way, or prevent certain positions is fabulous change, and the fact that I do not get tired and worn out after 20 minutes is pretty awesome. Other than those couple of things, my life really has changed that much. Yes, I'm skinny, buy small clothes, wear adorable outfits that are probably not age appropriate by most standards, but my core life/personality/wants/dreams have not changed very much at all.

Well, thank you dear. . . Honestly, we have a great sex life, but with his demanding career, and schedule the "quantity" sometimes falls by the wayside.

This is such an interesating question.  On the one hand, EVERYTHING has changed.  I suffered over my weight and food and eating issues for more than 40 years, and that is 90% gone, gone, gone.  I am wearing small sizes and looking good and loving feeling normal instead of fat.

On the other hand, I'm still me, my life and relationships are still essentially the same, and life is the same as it always was.  It's very odd, but my reality is that my life is completely different AND utterly the same. all a the same time.
