seatbelt extenders? we don't need no stinkin' seat belt extenders!

hi all,

just back from a trip to Austin from DC (muliple planes -- gack!) and i'm thrilled to inform you that i didn't need a seatbelt extender on any of my flights!!!!! first time in as long as i can remember at this point!!!!! and my tray table came all the way down b/c there was no fat belly pushing it up!!!!

i'm so excited!!!!!!!!  i love my sleeve!!!!! 

Good for you! That would be an awesome feeling, I havent been there for years myself. I am dreading my flight down to Mexico already :(

OMG I am soooooo excited for you! My husband and I flew to Phoenix and then on to Hawaii where we got married in 2005.  I must have been about 275lbs at the time and I had to ask for an extender.  I was mortified!!!! It was really a very VERY embarrassing moment for me.  I tried my hardest to fit into that belt.... but with all my trying... it just wasn't working.  I asked for an extender and the airline stewardess pretty much SCREAMS "Hey, we need a seat belt extender over here"  I wanted to crawl under the seat but.... uh, I probably wouldn't have fit! LOL 

When I got back and we were planning another trip a few months later so I ordered an extender on ebay.  I just couldn't stand to ask for another one on the flight.  We took the trip and I used my extender.  It was embarrassing but at least I didn't have to ask for it.

I hear your excitement and I cannot WAIT to be there too!! I'm pre-op and looking at having my surgery hopefully in May.  I am soooooooooo glad to hear you're past the extender days!! It truly is amazing, isn't it?

I somehow avoided the seatbelt extender even at my highest weight, but there was no slack whatsoever! I just flew a couple of days ago and have a couple more flights coming up next week.

There was definitely slack in the seatbelt this time, but my legs still went from armrest to armrest....ugh. I will be excited when there is a little wiggle room left in the seat.
