I think I started having salsa around 5 weeks out. Love it in some cottage cheese!

No problems here with hot sauce, salsa, wasabe or any spicy food.  Started with salsa when I was 2-3 weeks out and starting soft foods.

Hot sauce was on the my list seasonings that I could use  starting at 3 days post op that my NUT gave, so it is fine.  I was a little scared to use it the first time, but I used it on my 4th day post op and I didn't have any problems. So needless to say, I use it daily because I love spicy food.

I ate some very very very hot hot sauce last night.....after about 4 hours of dry heaving and the worst burning pain I have ever felt in my life.....I decided I'm going to wait a lil bit longer on the very hot stuff.....

I am 3 weeks and 1 day out and tried some Frank's Red Hot (the only hot sauce in my book) tonight on some chicken.  I put some in my plate and just dipped small pieces in it just to be sure.  It was sooo good and did fine (for me).
