OMG Submitted today and have mixed feelings.......
I called my surgeon's office today and talked with the coordinator to make sure she recieved all my paperwork, results & labs. I wanted to make sure if there was anything I needed to do to help with this process I get on it. So to make a long story short she said there was a couple of things, I asked what they were so I could call and get these places to fax results she. I hung up phone & she called me back and found my EKGbehind my file which is what she needed and she was gonna double check on the chest xray. If she didnt call me back that meant she got it. So she didnt call back. But b4 she hung up I asked her when will she submit my stuff to insurance and she said she did it already earlier today.
So now I am super excited, confused, anxious, worried. OMG im mixed with all kinds of emotions. Wondering what will they say, when will they respond. so I can get a date.I cant get a date until they hear back from insurance UGHHHH!!!!. I just want a date so I can feel like this is a done deal. Not knowing is a killer. I never felt like this in my wole life. Does everyone feel like this????

Hey! I submitted today too!! The insurance coordinator at the surgeon's office said it could take 2 weeks to get an approval..... so I have to wait. I understand all the feelings you're going through though. I can't wait to get this waiting game over with!
Hopefully we'll both get approvals quickly and we'll be underway!!
BTW I have Blue Cross Blue Shield of FL.... who do you have?

Normal, party of one! Most of us on this sight that have had this done felt both elated, and then right afterward a sense of Oh, My, God! I went through a whole lot of "Why didn't I just do Weigh****chers one more time . . " Yadda Yadda it is all normal. The wait varies, but insurance companies are getting better at this so start NOW to get some things in order. I strongly encourage you to give up diet soda if you drink it, and start getting used to water or tea. These small changes now will make the whole surgery a lot easier. Good for you, you're on your way!!
my insurance was contacted again today after i called my coordinator for united healthcare at my surgeon's office. it has been two weeks and united healthcare hadnt responded. i have the benefit though. i just need the formal approval. im soooo ready. im anxious, nervous, impatiently waiting, excited, scared, a lot of different emotions. I was told today that I need $2200 and plan for the end of May for surgery. I'm just so ready!
I think the waiting to hear is the worst! 2 weeks after it was submitted I called and it was approved. Surgery was a month later. Hope you get a yes!

Thank you all for your responses. At least now I know I am not loosing my mind. lol This is some crazy roller coaster ride. I tell ya. No one will ever know what we go thru unless they have been there or been in our shoes. The one thing I can say is that we all have this thing in common and I guess this is what helps us to comfort & support eachother.
Ginger - I have Healthnet / Hills Pyhsicians insurance.
Therese50 - I have stop with the diet soda's, dont drink sugary drinks, and I also have limited my caffeine. Thank goodness. Actually I have stopped but there are those times when I forget like when I order coffee from a store, drivethru, or starbucks. Im so used to jus asking for a coffee not decafe. So I am working on that. But for the most part I have taken everyones advice on here (OH) and try to do the right thing.
Thanks again, all your comments really give me some insight of what to expect.
