Waffle King Update - Barium will not pass

I spoke with Waffle and it looks like he is in for a longer stay than once thought. He was unable to get any of the barium into his sleeve. At this point they are going to wait on swelling to subside and see if that will resolve the issue. He seemed pretty chipper when I spoke to him at like 3am yesterday and very happy with his cute nurses… go figure eh? He also overheard his nurse commenting to her colleges about how fast "hers" goes through his morphine… haha
Oh, and they also found an unexpected hernia that had to be repaired while they were all up in the waffle! Looks like he's there until at least Monday.

Tell Waffle that I am thinking about him.  He seems to be in good spirits if he is talking about his cute nurses. I won't worry too much until he stops caring about the cuties then the rosary will come out.

Tell him I said, Hang in there, and see if they'll use gastrographin instead of stupid barium! ! ! Plus, the hernia repair could be causing that stubborn esophagus of his to spaz out.
