I'm 2 weeks out and have been stuck for the last 3 days. WTF I take out 80% of my stomach and still can't lose weight. I have been walking, but I haven't been getting all my protein (I admit that). It's so hard to get those shakes down. It's hard to get anything down. Besides the protein what else can I do. I am so discourage. HELP

Honestly you need to relax it will happen....2 weeks out you shouldn't expect to be down 50 pounds....stay off the scale and concentrate on healing for now....trust me when I tell you I know how frustrating it can be but everyone needs to realize they aren't going to lose all this weight in no time at all....it takes time...remember your body just went through a tramatic change....it needs to get used to things....but it will come off please be patient...

You didnt gain the weight over night and you wont lose it over night. This is a long process so enjoy the ride. Your body is adjusting and healing, you just had surgery and were pumped full of fluids so your body is probably not sure what to think.

Stay off the scale but once a week and you wont get down on yourself like this for "failing" which you totally are not failing.

You need to focus on healing, focus on getting in all your liquids. Focus on trying to get in your protein but dont beat yourself if you dont get all of it in today. You are only 2 weeks out and cannot be expected to hit your numbers perfectly every day. It sounds like you are right on track.

Please, stay off the scale. Sometimes the scale is detrimental to our mental progress and hinders our overall progress. It sounds like you are doing great so dont let this minor glitch (which isnt long enough to be a stall) get you down.

Dont forget the most important thing here-BE KIND TO YOURSELF!!!!!

Kristen

You're fine. Little lapses in loss will happen but know that it will start coming off again shortly. Just give your body time to heal and catch up with all the changes that have taken place in the last two weeks. You'll be rollin' again in no time.

Thanks everyone, I think I will have my husband hide my scale and only give it to me once a week. Maybe that will help. I have my 1st dr appt today, wanted to be down a couple more pounds, oh well.

Yes. Normal. Not failing..
I stalled at two weeks too, and I was expecting it to happen- either at two or three weeks.. either way it is part of the process.. I'm sure you've seen the bagillion posts about it, so you had to know it was a likely to happen? You will not just melt away, there's going to be stalls & gains. Yep, gains. I've gained too- granted it's water, but still the scale will go up & down throughout this whole deal.

I just lost today finally after a week, but I wouldn't be shocked to see the scale up tomorrow. Just relax and stay on the plan. This is nothing to freak over, just relax and try to make this as painless as possible by staying off the scale if it upsets you and work on getting your protein in.

Girl!! Your post sounds almost exactly like the conversation I had with my husband this morning!! I laughed out loud as I read it, not at your frustration, but a joyful YAAAA I'm not doing something wrong. I had my sleeve done on the 20th, and am stuck at the 25 lb mark.  Told my husband we needed a new scale!!! I will be praying for you as I know this is taking a toll on you mentally, as it is me. Blessings

One member said she calls these periods "pauses" instead of "stalls".  I like that... you are just "paused" while your body adjusts.  Don't let anything get you discouraged... stick to your plan.  You will be so proud of yourself in just a few weeks.

Best wishes,
Sharon

Make sure you are getting your protein in.  It helps with adjusting your metabolic system. You dont want your body to go in starvation mode.   right now your body is healing with surgery.  Just focus on sip sip sip, protein protein and protein and walk walk walk. I promise you will lose as long as you stick to volume measurements and your Doctors guidelines.

You might want to think about not expecting weight loss fast.  It is a slow process about 6 to 12 pounds a month on average.  the first month you may lose 22 to 28 pounds.

My personal with 3 weeks out, I didnt lose a pound for the next 2 1/2 weeks.   I was prepared for this due to OH.  Hang in there and go keep yourself busy.

You will hear people here that dont believe in starvation mode.   just hang there and get your protein in so it doesnt rob protein from other areas in your body.  VERY IMPORTANT!!!

I promise you will lose weight if you stick to the guidelines.
Have a good day.
