Sleeved Jan 6,2011, things are going great with my weight loss, still the best thing i have done in my life. I have great restriction with food , can only eat around 4 oz at a time but it works. Getting the water down is another story , i can drink an ocean , im always thirsty no matter how much i drank. Half way to goal !!!!!!!!!!! In under 6 months. Just need to get on track with daily excercise. My surgeon told me that if i did my weight loss would be alot faster and i agree with him but im happy the way things are going so far.
Congrats to you!
Congrats to you!
Congrats on your success!
I was sleeved January 6th! I have lost 64.5 pounds since surgery and loving the sleeve. I still struggle most days with getting my fluid intake in, which is really sad. But slowly improving on that matter. I am right now in a stand still so trying to up my exercise and lower my carb intake. Hoping that moves the stupid scale! Been struggling with that half a pound for six days now! UGH! Its been so rainy here for weeks now its been hard to get all my exercise in. So i am on my way out to buy a work out video for those rainy days.

YAY to us January sleevers! I had my surgery on 1/31....I've lost 50 pounds and have gone from a size 20 to a 16...now my 16 pants are getting to big so I bet I'll be in a 14 in another week or two, My weight loss is slowing down, so I am going to watch my carbs more closely and hit the gym more. I love love love my sleeve - best thing I ever did (for myself)!!!
Yay to us!!! Hugs!

Congrats to all on their weight loss! I was sleeved on January 27th and am down 55 pounds so far and 24 pounds till goal (150) I may revise my goal at that point as my Doctor wanted me closer to 140 but at the time of surgery I just wanted to get to 150 and when I got there I would know Id "made it". I plan on doing a tummy tuck in early fall. I cant wait! The sooner I get this weight off the sooner I can do it!
Hiya Ann and January Sleevers!! I was sleeved on the very last day of the month (1/31/11)....made it in by a hair lol.
My weight loss is slower than most all of you. I've lost 32 lbs since surgery. I've been stuck at 180 since April 27 and of course I am frustrated by that. I keep telling myself "if it wasn't for the three 9-10 day stalls that Ive endured, I would have lost a lot more by now *sigh*!"
I do however, look at it in a positive light and believe its because I simply need to learn more about, choices, portion control and scheduled meals versus eating at will, so the universe is being tougher on me and training me longer and harder, to get me in shape to conquer the battle of the maintenance phase of this fight :)
I was wearing size 18 to start....actually all my 18's had gotten skin tight and were leaving that horribly painful red rub mark around my waist but I refused to buy size 20's!! Sweat pants became my best friend at that point. I am so happy to announce that I am now in a size 10 jean. I wore a pair for the first time yesterday. I've been able to get them buttoned for about the past 3 weeks but they were far too tight to sport just yet...that was until yesterday
Best wishes to all you January Sleevers, may we all reach our goal!
*Hugs* Missy

Hi January Sleevers!!! You are all doing so awesome...I'm proud to be part of this group!!!
Here's whats happening for me....
- I've lost 56 pounds since surgery and 30 from the time I entered the program in September for a total of 86 pounds. And yes I include it all....I worked hard for the 30 before surgery.
- I went from a tight 22W jeans to a size 12 jeans in misses.
- I went to the doc last night for a non WLS related issue. My BP was 100/66. The nurse looked at me and asked if it was always this low. It was never that low...before surgery that is!
- I take a small group power lifting class twice a week at my gym and add a third day of heavy weight lifting on my own, and I really love the weights!
Did I mention I love my sleeve?? !!

Sleeved on Jan 14th & have lost approx 42 lbs. I think I'm a slow loser, but that's okay. I haven't really started an exercise regime, if I did, I'm sure that would jump start more weight loss. I eat well, get in my protein, take my supplements, but still struggle with my daily fluid intake. Seems like I just can't hit that magic number of 60 oz. I'm very happy with my decision now. I did have a rough start after surgery. I was in a lot of pain, very nauseated, dehayrated, etc.. But that's all a distant memory now. I was a tight 16/18 prior to surgery & a 1x in shirts. I presently wear a size 14 & wear a large (sometimes XL) in shirts. I'm excited for what the future holds! Congrat's to all of you on your success so far! :)
HEY JANUARY SLEEVERS!!!! I remember before surgery i couldn't wait to be apart of one of these postings :) Anyhow, I had my surgery January 27th, 2011 and I feel SOOOO DAMN GOOD!
I began at 276 the day of surgery. I am now 214.8 and I have not seen numbers like this since 9th grade. I was a size 22 before surgery and now I am a comfortable/loose 16. Tops I am wearing M/L. I am eating more than I was right after surgery but no more than a 1/2 cup to a cup of food a sitting. I have cheated a few times with carbs, but have been able to maintain a steady weightloss because I work out so much. It has been so hard because my doctor doesn;t recommend carbs for the first six months. I am exercising 4-5 times a week adding more weights so I can try and pull this body together to avoid plastics as much as possible! My weightloss has been so contagious that I have motivated others to do the same thing.
Congrats to you all, and I will post pics soon!
