hi all,

well, i went up one pound this week, which sux.  then i weighed myself today (i usually only weigh once, so yesterday) and i'm a pound lighter.  gotta be water.  but i did go up one lb from last week.  no good.

i'm going to have to be super vigilant this week about cals, protein, carbs!!!!!!!  i'm renewing my strength that has gotten me this far!!!!!!

i can do it right??  this is the point at which i just think like an idiot and say "okay, this is all the weight i'm going to lose".  dumb.

better this week!!!!

Don't worry, it's probaby water weight.  Another thing that I need to watch is sodium.  If I eat something like ham...the scale will not move!  I do eat it now and then, but do try to be careful with the sodium.

There are often stalls along the way...someone called them pauses the other day.  That's really a better way to look at it!  Your body needs time to adjust now and then.

Hang in there!  You can do it!

Hang in there, Ann.  My wt loss has sloooowed way down at this point which is frustrating indeed.  I can eat so much more now compared to just a few months ago.  Plus I find myself "cheating" more often too.  Good luck this week.  Have you started exercising yet?  I have and it's really made a difference.  Hugs.......Jennifer

Of course you can do it, you've been doing great all along!! Keep up the good work. I really have to be careful with salt.
Good luck!

Exactly - the only way you can gain a real pound in a day at this point is by eating massive calories - no easy task with the size of our tummies. I'm going to echo the response about sodium/salt.  Also, if you are going to weigh everyday, please do not take every pound to heart. There are many factors that may cause our body to hang onto water. Be vigilent with your water intake and protein and watch those processed foods w/sodium.

It will happen....sometimes, i don't lose anything for the whole month and then I kick it in gear and start losing again.  We are learing.  Simple things like drinking enough water may feel like we are gaining weight but it actually helps in losing weight.  Working out, we all know is good for you, but at first you may gain weight here too....but in the long run....you lose weight.

good luck

~Emily

thanks you guys.  i did have salty stuff monday night and then weighed myself this (tuesday) morning.  i usually weigh only once a week and this is exactly why.  it's just my usual panic that i won't lose any more weight!

more water, less salt, no grazing (easier at 5 months for sure!).  i know i don't have much honeymoon period left --  eeeeek!!!!!

Sodium intake definitely makes a difference for me.  Also, if I just follow the nutritional aspects - weight stays constant.  Exercise, plenty of water and watching sodium all help me keep the scale moving.

Don't worry; you haven't lost all that you can lose - it is a journey!

Mina
