You could look at this two ways.. they may want to not set you up for disappointment. Based on the averages that may be realistic for you, but if you go beyond that you'll be pleasantly surprised.

With that said, I plan to get down as low as I can with a sane and sustainable approach. If I make it to goal or under- fantastic! But, since that's just an arbitrary number and I'm shooting for better health here, if I can only get down to 170 and my body refuses to budge, I'll take it. She used the wrong word.. she should have said average vs maximum.. if she had to say anything at all.
