went to see my primary and got my letter of medical necessity. Tomorrow is the big psych eval. Okay, so I know i am not crazy, but what can I expect from this??

When I had my psych eval, the Dr. wanted to know that I had a clear understaning that the surgery was just a tool and I had to be committed to changing my thinking. He wanted to know I was working on the psycholoigical issues associated with being obese/abusive eating. Good luck.

psych is a piece of cake... They want to make sure you do not hear voices

had a funny with mine. My doc knew I was OK but all the questions and badgering from the surgeon and insurance company almost drove HIM into therapy. Seriously they just want to make sure that you understand that this is just a tool not a cureall and that you are prepared for a lifelong commitment to change.
