Ulcers anyone?
I am 9.5 weeks out and still having heartburn issues (even though I take meds for it and tums). I had my 2 month post-op last week. Doc wanted me to have an upper G.I. done again just to make sure he didn't close too tightly after repairing my hiatal hernia. SO I had my G.I. done yesterday and the docotr conducting it says I have an ulcer where my esphogus meets my stomach. I see my surgeon on Tuesday where I am sure I will get answers but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I have been reading up on it and just my luck this is the rarest type of ulcer. Btw I am down 34.1 lbs since surgery on 5/2 (and 49.1 since the end of march). Loving my sleeve. Have had to clean out my closet twice already and only have about a dozen items remaining that are still a bit (little little bit) too snug for my liking. I have 50lbs to reach the doctors goal and 65 more to reach mine. Not too bad for 2 months time I guess.
Trying hard to break into wonderland and am just stuck at 200.7. I will be getting there this week if I have to lose a couple of fingers and toes to get there.

What kind of meds are you on for the ulcers? My dr has me on Protonix (Prilosec is the same thing over the counter) twice a day. I had bad ulcers at the bottom of my stomach @ my preop EGD (probably due to Motrin use!) But 3 months on it and they have resolved! Maybe you should try Carafate also... it coats your esophogas as well as stomach to protect it! Maybe because it is at the top the meds just don't reach there...
Good luck! And keep us posted!
