Chronic Fatigue...again

I'm about at my wit's end.  I had this issue from September-December last year, and now I'm experiencing this chronic fatigue again.

Last fall things like standing still for any amount of time (maybe over 20 minutes), walking up stairs, certainly exercise, going to the grocery store, and almost anything else was so taxing.  I'd wake up tired.  Things like showing and unloading the dishwasher were enough for me to need a break.  In the spring I began graduate school and really didn't experience the symptoms.  And then in April, after horrible stomach pains, I found I had gallstones and will need my gallbladder removed.

Since May I haven't had any more gallbladder issues, but in the past 2 weeks I've notice the return of this overwhelming fatigue.  In some ways I can do much more--I've been loading bookcases.  But then other times I feel like I won't be able to get out of bed!  And often I feel dizzy and hot.  I wondered if it was just this heat, but it's so similar to my symptoms last fall.  I had my blood panel run last fall and they couldn't find anything.  I had it done again in early May due to my gallbladder issues, and I never heard of any deficits in my blood this round.  Not feeling capable of doing anything makes me feel kinda depressed...or which came first the chicken or the egg?  At this point, I honestly don't know!  I just know I feel completely helpless

This sounds like a vitamin deficiency to me.  Could be iron or vitamin D or b12.  Are you taking supplements?

You need to look up POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome)  You have the same symptoms as me.  I couldn't describe what I was feeling to the doctor.  Then when I was at the dr's office he could tell that I was struggleing.  He took my pulse sitting down and then took it standing up.  It was 68 sitting and when I stood up it went up to 108.  I have had this about a year now.  I am so glad I know what is wrong.  I really started to notice that I would have a bad episode when I would try to exercise.  And now I am having to deal with the heat and it causes an episode.  Basically when I stand my heart rate goes high and I have a hard time breathing and have to sit.  If I don't sit down I will pass out.  Just google POTS and this might explain what you are feeling.  If you do have it you need to see a good cardiologist.  There are not many drs. that know about it.  Good luck, and if you need me, you can always email me.  Cindy
