Having a hard time deciding on Roux-en-y or the Gastric Sleeve. I really appreciate your posts. Congrats to all who have had success.

Generally happy about the decision I made to have surgery and my thoughts are not to do with whether I had a sleeve or roux en y.
I occasionally get a bit sad when I can't eat much and I need a feed.  That is head hunger and it would not matter which op you have.
I think the sleeve is good because of the lack of medication you need to take after.  I only need a multi vitamin.  With the bypass some people need many more supplements.  That was the main reason I went with a sleeve.
Good luck with your decision

It make sense that hardest part for everyone would be not being able to turn to food like we use to. Thats why I am glad Kaiser puts us thru the options classes first, So that we can mentally prepare ourselves. I am leaning towards the sleeve myself. I am seeing sooo much positive & happy results with people who have had the sleeve. As for the lapband or gastric bypass, I have been seeing alot of complications. Thank you for sharing and congrats to you :-)

Wow! That is sooo great! You look gorgeous! I was scared when i put the title on my post that I would get alot of negative feedback about the sleeve. But all this positive feedback is sooo great! I hope I get approved for the sleeve after I finish my classes. Thank you for sharing :-)

I'm 3 mos out, no problems with sleeve. I don't miss much and I don't ever have cravings. I do feel hunger but it is always when it's time to eat not really in between meals. If I do get hungry in between meals something as small as a cheese stick makes it go away. I don't miss anything or ever regret the surgery. I really didn't want my guts rearranged and didn't want the band so that's why I went with the sleeve. Good luck on your choice and I wish you success either way.
