I have honestly never seen anyone on here say they wished they had gotten a different surgery.  I do think that some don't lose as much as they wish and they revise to a DS, but I think most of us are incredibly happy with the outcome, me included.   I am about 20 pounds over my high school weight, and can't seem to get those last 20 off, but hey, I'm 60 yrs old so I'll take it!   I'm in a size 8/10 and that's good enough.   I might have gotten those last 20 pounds off with a malabsorptive surgery, but the trade off would have been too high -- a lifetime of risk for malnutrition.  Didn't seem like a good bargain to me.

I am only 3 1/2 weeks out, but am so glad that I have had the sleeve. The recovery has been great, only real complaint as been fatigue. I seem to be able to get in my protein and fluids. I am (so far) tolerating all foods well. I have lost 14.5# (27.3# from my highest weight) since surgery and am feeling better already!

I love my sleeve!

P.S. My surgeon does require that his sleeve patients and RNY patients take the same vitamins/supplements. So I am taking the same as if I would have had the RNY.

Almost 10 months out and have never regretted it for one second!  I was scheduled for RNY in 2008, even had a date set, when my husbands insurance changed.  Sometimes you don't know why things happen, but I am so thankful I had to wait and was able to get the surgery that was right for me.
