Finally! My first Post-op appointment

Man it seems like all the other July 13Th sleevers had their 2 week follow ups already.  Apparently mine had to be late and at almost 3 weeks I will get my OFFICIAL first weigh in!  I have been staying with my mom and working from home these past few weeks and have been away from my home scale - I have no idea how accurate my mom's is.  I am hoping to lose 25 lbs by the end of the month - I think that  is doable since I had a nice high start weight of 280!  Feeling great though - hoping to advance to the next food stage.  Read a post about someone getting a blood clot 6 weeks after surgery - going to check with my surgeon to see if I am still at risk or if it was just immediately following surgery.  Kind of paranoid because I found out a family friend had passed away from a blood clot following hip replacement surgery.  I know that is way more invasive then what I had done but still makes me worry a little.  Also I am going to ask when I can start taking pills again - this liquid and chewable crap is for the birds!  I have been off pain meds for 1 1/2 weeks - so hoping he will give me the all clear to drive again - originally told 6 weeks - yikes that is like forever!  My appointment is this afternoon so I will update everyone/ my ticker when I get home!  Can't wait!

I was sleeved July 13th also and have my appointment later this morning.  I just called later than I should have... Oh well, that just means we will show a greater loss. :)
I also hate those chewable "crap" and can't wait to get off it.
My doc told me I could drive as soon as I felt like I could brake.  I was driving at 8 days and feeling fine.   Good luck with your appointment.  I'm sure you'll be fine .  Happy Losers bench!

I drove at 4 days postop.  I was told as soon as I was off pain med's I was able to drive.  I actually only took the med's twice after returning home from the hospital. BUT..always follow your surgeons advice!

Good luck on your appt!!!
