I miss it so, and decafe is hard to find...

They gave it to me in the hospital...

Just wondering!

Thanks!

That's funny - they gave me Snapple Diet Tea in the hospital too.  It tasted like utter crap to me at the time, but I'm back to liking tea again.

My plan says to really avoid caffiene if possible... doesn't put it on the Can't Have list, just to avoid if possible.  So I have Crystal Light Green Tea with Peach once or twice per week.  Otherwise I stick to other mix-in's such as Propel, Mio, or fruity flavors of Crystal Light (all decaf).

Check what your surgeon/NUT's plan says to see if you are to exclude it or not.

I just bought some Crystal Light ice tea and read the whole container and couldn't find caffeine listed. I too was wondering about that.

An internet search shows 8 ounces of Crystal Light tea has 11 mg caffeine.  Compare to 102-200 mg caffeine for coffee, 40-120 mg caffeine for brewed black tea, and 31 mg caffeine for Diet Coke (all 8 ounce servings).  Caffeine in Snapple tea varies by flavor, but is about 21 mg for 8 ounces.

I've been drinking Crystal Light and Snapple tea regularly, but since surgery I like it with more water to make it less sweet.

There is a brand called 4C that sells decaf iced tea powder in canisters and single serve packets.  I sometimes find it at my local grocery store and it is also on Amazon.

my guidelines say nothing about caffeine and in fact my NUT told me i could go back to a diet coke a day and it wouldn't stretch out my new tummy or kill me.  just fyi!

They gave me regular coffee the day after surgery in the hospital.  I LIVE on caffeine with our schedule.  Just make sure you drink plenty of regular water to offset.

There is a very small amount of caffeine that it won't be harmful.
I asked my doctor and he said it was fine..just no coffee or regular tea (or soda)
