I have one and if you use it on a daily basis it does work, meaning my arms and shoulders get a bit sore. I have it in a closet, you have made me want to get it back out!! Any movement is good if you feel something later. It is hard to get into the rythem dont shake it to hard! Good luck!

As an athletic trainer the shake weight is not recommended. The weight weighs only 1 lb so there is not enough weight for true resistance or muscle building. Sorry

Just like anything else, if you're consistent you CAN have results!
(It's $20+ Shipping but they sell them at Target, WalMart, even BedBath&Beyond); I've been doing it for about three weeks now and definitely feel a difference.  It won't get rid of the flab but it WILL build and tone your muscles reducing the appearance of "loose skin" which is pretty-much inevitable.

I've been struggling a bit with the arm situation... but my hunnie helped put it into perspective when he said  what's worse... big chubby inflated arms or much smaller but deflated??

My Shake Weight weighs 2 1/2" lbs but it's not about that... i's about the "Dynamic Inertia"

Not to mention... it's fricking hysterical when brought out at parties   (just say'in)

I would advise you that if you are concerned about loose skin that lifting weights, REALLY lifting weights is going to serve you well.  You may or may not still have loose skin, depending on age, genetics, how long you were heavy, where you carry your weight, sun spots, alignment of the stars, and whatnot, but having something to drape that skin over?  MAkes a huge difference.

By the by, I am 44 now, had surgery at 42, had been 250ish pounds for a good 10 years.

A before.

An after

You can see, I have nice bumflaps :} but my arms are okiedoke and my bat wings (the bra flap folds smoothed out.)

This is just a progression of sorts.

So, while not everyone cares for muscle on chicks, and I can dig it, it really has helped me not to be a human that has gone from focusing on how large I was, to how wrankly I am.  :}

Good luck girlie!
