very sensitive gag reflex...and protein

I know this has been discussed a lot here, but I have an extremely sensitive gag reflex. At this point I am most concerned about getting protein in....so please tell me the mixes that taste the least protein-y to you. I need to purchase some samples and try them since I got approval but I am dreading even trying them.

I am debating if I will just be better off getting those little bullet things and taking a shot of that, sometimes that works better for me than to force myself to sip on something that is horrible.

I am just thinking of getting the no-flavor powder and trying that, but I am sure it will add a weird taste to what I put it in, too.

Suggestions of samples to try?

I would ask for a sample of the chicken soup flavor from Unjury. I am less than a week post-op and I have had that for lunch for the last few days. It really does feel like chicken soup broth and it is such a comfort food, as if I am just recovering from a flu. Last night I changed it up and added it to some soupy cream of wheat. I was pretty pleased with the results.

So far I only have the Unjury unflavored and the Unjury Chicken soup and had a sample of the strawberry sorbet. I didn't really like the strawberry that well. The unflavored has worked well for me in broth, activia light yogurt and in sugar free pudding.

I have an really bad gag reflex too. Like thought will make me gag and once I start I can't stop. I personally like the pure protein ready to drink cans. I go for strawberry and occasionally banana.

I also had trouble stomaching the whey protein taste.

The things I could stomach were muscle milk, eas myoplex lite (not strawberry), and Nectar.

There was a two to three week period where anything with Whey made me wanna hurl, but once that weirdness passed I found any of those things I named above (the ready to drink kind, not the powders, don't know what they taste/smell like) were pretty good.
