I dont think its about a certain amount of pounds over weight, it was about not being able to stand lor long periods, not being able to walk without constant back pain, struggling to climb stairs, and becoming a hermit in my own house because it was wasier than going out..

my push to get surgery was being put on colesterol meds, gerd meds i was following in my fathers footsteps he died from a stroke...

I think light weights deserve to get rid of weight as much as anyone else, noone walking in anothers shoes and knows what pains and aches or medical issues they have..

knowing what I know now, I would have had it at any weight I was allowed to (provided I was obese/very overweight).

I didnt have a cut off mark when I did have it.  I had been well past it for years

100 for me as well.  Combined issue of knees not allowing me to exercise and the sheer amount of time it would take.  I'm 42, not getting younger - at that weight on my own I could see it taking 5 years because I couldn't exercise.
