I love cottage cheese, alternate between nonfat & 2%.  Learned to love soy milk (unsweetened).  Hot cup of boullion is very soothing (watch the sodium).  I used Isopure in the beginning, could barely get it down, but forced it cuz it has good amount of protein.  Now I use Pure Protein shakes - 21-35 gms/protein and very low carbs, about 4gms and cals are 160-170. Loved s/f jello in the early days.  I love to make fruit smooties with unsweetened soy milk, carbmaster yogurt (Ralphs/Kroeger) and 1/4 cups of berries with some ice.  Yum, Yum, Yummy!  Best of luck to you.  Keep us posted.

You can also google vsg nutritional stuff and get tons of info.  We all say the same thing....listen to what your nutritionist or surgeon says.  Love you!

I agree with Marcia B.  You have to add a little salt and pepper to the cottage cheese.  Go easy on the salt though.  I too had never tried Greek yogurt before.  They had some on sale at the Family Fare grocery store so I bought some to try.  I am not liking the Greek yogurt!!!

I do not have a surgery date yet but I was trying out things now before the time comes so I will know what I like.  I ordered some Unjury protein packets and some Chike protein packets.  I tried the chocolate flavors from both companys and Unjury wins, hands down!!!  The Chike is not bad but I found it to be way too thick.  The Unjury just had a better taste!
