anyone have pre-diabetes/diabetes that didn't resolve after VSG?
Prior to surgery I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes (really is there such a thing? you either have it or you don't). Last two pregnancies I had gestational. Since VSG blood work (glucose and HGBA1C) have been normal.
Well, I have been doing fasting bs checks this past week and let's just say I am NOT happy with the results. Usually in the low 90's and today 128 (had a lot of trail mix last night. Yeah, I know). WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone? Please. This is very upsetting to me. One of the MANY reasons I had wt loss surgery was to NOT have full blown diabetes.

I am in regular contact with over 300 people that have had the Sleeve Gastrectomy. Of those with Diabetes II, ALL of them have had complete resolution of their disease, and require no medication of any type, so long as they maintained their weight loss.
Unfortunately some people refuse to stop eating, and they regain their weight. With their weight, their Diabetes II also returned.
Those that have diabetes I (or "Juvenile Diabetes") have all required significantly less Insulin since their weight loss
