Issues with vitamins.. suggestions please
I am having some issues with the bariatric complete mutli-vitamins that I got from my doctors office. They make me nauseous after I take them, and the Calcium is a rather large pill that I can't swallow. That being said, what type of vitamins do you use? Brand and where you got them from? Are the gummy vitamins okay? Has anyone else had an issue with nausea related to the multivitamin?
Thanks,

I take my multivitamin at bedtime so I sleep thru the nausea. Brilliant idea from my nutritionist.
I take citrical "petites' they are about half the size of the huge regular pill. But are only 200mg, so i have to have 2 with every meal. I got mine at Shoppers Drugmart, I'm in Canada.... I know others take them as well...
I did have a Webbers vitamin brand capsule which were SO easy to swallow (calcium citrate) but I didnt like the way they felt floaty in my tummy...they were so light. Again, Shoppers Drugmart. You might like those if you can find them!

I take Celebrate Multi grape chewables. I originally started out with Flintstones when I was still going through the liquid and pureed stages. Once I got to the soft foods phase is when I made the switch. Taking a whole one made me nauseous at first, but I started breaking them in half, so instead of taking 2 whole ones in a day, I'd take 4 halves.
After a few weeks I tried a whole one again and had no problem with it, so this intolerance may be short lived?

Food is the key for me....if I don't eat almost directly after, I get alot of nausea...but if I eat, even a bite of something, none...give that a shot....for one reaosn or another it seems to work better if you take the bite after rather than before....and obvisouly use as little liquid as possible. I'm to the point now where I take almost all my pills with one sip of water, then followup with a piece of lunch meat or teaspoon of peanut butter....works every time....
