I have:
a blender
a food chopper

and I have ordered:
the cups with the wire ball.

I am going to get (if I can find):
some containers that hold 2 oz.
a food scale

So what else do I need in this journey
??

I use a countertop food scale multiple times a day.  I would suggest food containers that hold 4oz so that you can use them longer.  I know that is the smallest size that we have in our lock-n-lock sets.  You'll love the blender bottles for protein shakes.

Not food related, but a measuring tape if you don't have one. Take your measurements before surgery, then check periodically after...especially when you have a slow down or stall. You'll lose inches then.

Mostly I used 4 oz containers, but do also still use 2 oz for my snacks. I don't fill them, usually just 1 or 1.5 oz.

I used a timer in the  beginning to time my sips. I would take a sip or 2, set the time for 15 min, take a sip or 2 set for 15 min etc. If I didnt do this I wouldnt of gotten enough liquid in at all..

The best thing I bought was a couple of 22oz bottles with sipping lids/straw things (or whatever you call them) from Wal-Mart for $4.99 each.  I fill them up in the morning with crystal lite (a lot of ice in the one for later) then put them in the car, take them to the office, or have them with me all day whetever I'm doing.  Easy to carry around, and helps keep track of liquid consumption.

While not equipment,  make sure you have plenty of liquids for the first week or so...until you feel like going out and getting anything you need.  Have protein powder of ready to drink protein drinks.  Broth, crystal light or something similar.  I only drank protein drink, broth and water initially.....but got sick of it quickly.  So having a variety on hand is helpful.

I specifically like the camelback bottles, they were recommended by my Nut.

One of the things I used when I was my Ninja - the other was my handheld blender (what I call lovingly as a jujshier - or however you spell that ...lol).

I recommend getting in the habit of saving your tiny leftovers when you cook for the family too.  For me, I live alone - so if I cook, it literally will service me for about 8 meals minimum.  I am in the habit now of freezing my portions in smaller containers because there will be days you can eat things, and days you can't.  For those days something doesn't work for you - you will have plenty of smaller portions in the freezer that you can try later in the day.  Today was one of those days for me - it took 3 tries to find something my pouch would agree to.  I know our surgeries  are different, but just wanted to share in case these things help you out too.

The biggest recommendation I have for the protein shakes is to check out "the world according to eggface" for some wonderful recipes that make those things tolerable.

Good luck!!
