Sorry... editing, trying to get the images

SO.... my hair loss is from surgery, and hormonal issues with PCOS... I have had trouble for a long time, but since I started loosing weight in MArch it got way, WAY worse.  I went to a place that specializes in hair loss and my doctor diagnosed me with alopecia which allowed my insurance to cover a hair system... I am not telling many people at all, but I HAD to let you all know... Here are some before and afters...

Before... SO thin...

It is removable... I have to take it off every night... SO embarassing, but I love the results.  I am so blessed that my insurance would cover it though... and it is totally gonna take some gettin gused to...

Looks much better and much fuller. I'm happy for you.

Explain please. You refer to it as a "hair system", then say it's removable. Are you using a wig, a wiglet (just a top piece) or what?

BTW, my hair already looks like your before photos so I'm not looking forward to anymore hair loss....and no, I haven't had the VSG yet.

I;m guessing it is just a really high quality wiglet... it's all human hair and the entire thing (services and all) is about $1,000... I am so grateful that my insurance covers it!!!

It really looks great - so natural looking too! Glad your insurance was ablet to help you out.
I'm at 6 monthd and I've lost and am still losing hair (thankfully it was pretty thick before sugery)
- hoping it will stop soon, but with each shower it just comes falling out !

Thanks!  I'm glad you had thick hair... I've hated my thin hair forever, but this was getting really, really bad.  :-(

What type of place did you have to go to....that "specializes" in hair? Dermatologist? I have seen lots of places that claim they specialize in hair, but I don't believe they would have a medical status that my insurance would accept.

I also had hair loss prior to surgery, and am diagnosed PCOS.

I've been wearing a human hair topper for years.  I have PCOS too, and the hair loss has been both painful and humiliating.  There is a good website called wigsupport.com.  It is run by a lady who owns a wig store in the northeast.  She is wonderful about helping you select a hair system that's right for you in the comfort of home.  I still have to have my hair trimmed and colored every now and then, so finding someone who can handle those challenges effectively isn't always easy, but I'm very grateful that there is some sort of help out there besides a wig.

Hi again guys!

here is the link to the place that I use... they work a lot with cancer patients, but do all kinds of stuff.  They totally billed my insurance, got approval first and all, and was totally above board.

I have a feeling that I may have to wear one for a long time, if not forever, with the PCOS, which is a bummr at 30, but I'm jsut grateful that I have the option!
