Thanks for the post. I am going from Lap band to sleeve on Tuesday and experiencing the usual ups and downs. I do agree that the band was nothing like I expected. I never know what is going to go down or not. Day 5 of preop diet and I am sooooo ready to get this over with. Thanks again for sharing your story. It really does help those of us going through the same thing.

So glad to hear this as I had my band out 2 months ago and am getting sleeved in 2 months.
I can relate to pain. I had off and on pain on my left side under my rib (not even port side). Now that the band is out-none! I had under gone multiple tests and the dr. never attributed it to the band!
Congrats to you!

We are going to our State Fair in a few weeks and i can't wait. I used to look forward to getting funnel cakes, and corny dogs. But now I can't wait to just enjoy the sites with my kids. I'm excited because I can walk around with out getting tired. I can enjoy the rides with my son and daughter. I don't even care about the food now. I love my sleeve. I am enjoying life so much now.

While I am a verry lovely shade of green that you are sleeved I am truely happy for you that it is going so well. This is what I also expected from the band but alas we know how that story goes! I'm keeping my crapband empty and hoping somehow in the future I can revise. In the mean time enjoy it for me!

I'm thankful for posts like this because otherwise I would have gotten the band. It was people like you and USAFwife and others that convinced me to look into the sleeve. I'm so glad I did! Congratulations on your success and thanks for posting!
