Starting My Jorney

 Howdy,  I start my journey today.  I went to the first pre-op group meeting to get my list of what I must get done before I can schedule/have my surgery.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to have the sleeve though I will still discuss RY with my surgeon because I have sugar issues and I'm scared that NOT having dumping syndrome may be a bad thing.  I have a great Colonel (well the equivilent Navy rank) surgeon who's specialty is the sleeve so I'm really comfortable.  It will be about 3 months before I finish all my pre-op appointments and then up to another 3 months for my actual surger.  I'm hoping for February but we'll see.

This is a great place to get all sorts of good info about all the surgeries.  I have been having a fantastic recovery and am very pleased so far.  I was really, really scared because I'd never had surgery before, but it was easy peasy.
