question about soft foods
so I am on liquids plus baby food fruit and yogurt for three weeks. Two more left...
Then on to "soft proteins" such a deli meats, they said maybe dark meat chicken ect. Soft cheese like laughing cow cheeses, and really really cooked veggies.
In my plan there is never any mushies unless you count the baby food now?
Has anyone else plan left off "mushies"? If so, how was that first taste of meat?
I am personally thinking of pureeing my food for the first few days at least...Im skeered! lol
I am trying to come up with ideas of softer meats. I am thinking some meatballs in BBQ sauce, maybe chicken salad, and crab cakes...but maybe not since I think those contain some carbs...hmmmm...I guess I am just dreaming of whats on the menu when I can eat ;)

well the only thing on that list I Will eat is the scrambled eggs lol! Mmmm...it would be good to make egg salad out of a bit of scrambled eggs with a bit of mayo...
OH I know what else I wanted to ask.,..
I love dill relish in my egg salad, is that okay when on soft proteins or is it best wait till the next stage?

Don't the baby food and yogurt count as 'mushies'? That's what l would call them.
PLEASE don't eat meatballs in bbq sauce!! Unless the sauce is pretend;) Waaay too much sugar.
hmm never thought about the sugar content in BBQ sauce lol....Its all a learning curve for me. So much I never thought about before.
Well, they actually call this FULL liquids but throw in baby food fruit and yogurt..sort of weird lol.

Thanks Paige for posting this. You and I have so mu*****ommon with regards to our VSG. My diet is similar to yours, and no mention of "mushies" as well.
I'm so wanting some meat right now. Can't wait!
They have me trying tuna, chicken, shrimp and crab first (about 3-4 weeks out). No red meats until about 6 weeks out.
C'Mon October!!
