question about soft foods

I start with mushies tomorrow. I am overly cautious. I still have a little pain with drinking.  I will start with a small spoon of tuna salad and see how it goes! I am not doing well with protein. My focus is to stay hydrated.

me too! The protein leaves me overly full. I drank a 1/2 can today and felt sicky for a while after....yuck, cannot wait to get a lot of my protein from food

I'm going to piggy back your post with a question on timing...

What is everyone's time frame on phases??

Mine is two weeks clear liquids. (cream of chicken or various protein shake options are allowed if feeling hungry)

At the start of week three I get soft/mushies... Such as scrambled eggs, soft cheese, puréed chicken salad with dressing only (no bits of veggies), refried beans... Stuff like that.

Week 4, smainly the same as 3 with the addition of some deli meats, and broiled/baked fish...

After that there are rules but pretty much solid foods are in!

I'm just curious as I see some of y'all talking about 4 weeks of mushies, etc..

I was told no chicken until 6months. So far, I have been eating eggs either scrambled or boiled, cream of wheat, refried beans with no fat, lentils well blended, cheeses, yogurt and some soups but the protein fills me up that sometimes I can't even eat that 3rd meal. Had a followup last week and was told I can start eating fish, shrimp...etc, cooked veges and some fruit by the 5 week but to stay away from starches like rice, pasta, bread and tortillas which slows down the weight process.

for me, until day 21 I am on liquids, whi*****ludes yogurt and baby food fruit.

Then Day 22-60- very mushy veggies and softer meats like deli meat, eggs, dark meat chicken..they say mixing with mayo helps.

day 61- month 6-lean protein, fruits veggies, yogurt and milk

month 6 to goal: same as other but with 1 serving complex carb daily

maintence: same but with up to three servings of complex carb daily


NO BEANS, NO CORN until maintanence!
