i know it's frustrating but you're doing fine.  it just takes time.  when was the last time you lost 35 lbs in a month??  i think the TOM plus 3 wk stall may be conspiring against you.  (that's why i love menopause!)

just hang in, don't worry about pix, weight once a week if you can b/c then you're not going up and down all week, and be kind to yourself!!  your body endured a major assault a month ago and now you're not feeding it.  it's probably in shock!

sending big ((((((((((hugs))))))))))

I am right there with you :( Lost 16 pounds in the first 5-ish days post-op, stalled for 2 weeks, lost almost 9 more (down to 216) and now I'm stalling again and back up to 218. It's maddening!!!

I'm sure your cycle has everything to do with it, and after it's over you will probably drop like 7-10 pounds in a week! ha! Wouldn't that be awesome? I feel like I'm going to be a stair-stepper loser. Oh welll.. no going back now, right? no sense in getting all upset/frustrated ---- gotta just push through it and do the best I can!!!

First of all, you are only one month out.  It doesn't sound like you expected any swelling or weight gain to occur with the surgery.  I was quite swollen and had to go out and buy BIGGER underwear because I couldn't stand what I had, it was that uncomfortable.  Four pounds isn't bad for hospital gain.  Mine was at least 10 if I remember correctly.  It took a few weeks for me to get back to my pre surgery size again.  Then you've got the 3 week stall (which happens to just about everyone, whether you think it will or not).  I've had a hysterectomy, so I can't comment on that aspect post-surgery.

Keep to your plan and you will lose weight.  At first, you may not notice because it might be places you don't see so easily like your upper back.  Or places you didn't measure, neck, forearms, feet, etc.  In a month or so, you should really start seeing some pounds come off.  Don't get discouraged if you only lose 2-3 lbs/week.  That was my average, and I suspect a lot of people have a similar average.  The ones that lose a lot more probably started out a lot heavier also.

Hang in there!
