Thanks for the great recipe! I'm going to have to try that. I also started in July at 328. I also have to lose at least 10% before surgery. I would personally like to lose more, but am doubtful. My nutritionist has me doing a 1200-1400 calorie diet. Unfortunately it has been very difficult for me. There are days when I do great, but there are days when it's not so good. Hard to break old, lifetime habits! Today I went for a weigh in and am down to 311, but I have felt it has been a huge battle for me as it usually is. My biggest hurdle right now is getting in the EXERCISE
. I have completely stopped drinking carbonated drinks since July and that is a huge accomplishment for me since I was averaging about 5-6 diet drinks a day! I have increased my water intake to around 72 ounces a day. I have picked up I guess a "good" habit of carrying a re-fillable water bottle around with me, I find that I get the most drinks while I'm driving and while at stop lights, I guess from boredom. I don't know, but that's worked for me for some reason. Thanks everyone for all your posts. They are always helpful and would love to see more posts on what we are doing pre-op.
