7 weeks out
So I'm a few days past being 7 weeks out, my surgery was august 4th so my two month is october 4th. I'm officially down 35 pounds as of today. i hit a week and a half stall that just ended. I went from 255.5 to 220.5. Is this about normal for people 7 weeks out?
My surgeons goal weight for me is 150 but my goal weight is more like 135. I read somewhere else that a good goal is 50% of excess weight in the first three months, so to my surgeon that means 50 pound which is doable since I'm not quite 2 months out.
i posted something earlier about my stall because i freaked out and thought I had just stopped losing weight even though rationally I knew i wasn't eating enough calories to maintain my weight and that stalls were common.
i haven't been tracking my calories but i've focused on eating protein at every meal. i'm trying to get into a habit of tracking my food because i know it will help. i don't think I'm eating quite enough protein and think I might need to start having a protein shake for breakfast to ensure I do. i'm in college so i'm going to do that when I move home and in the meantime just make an extra effort to eat as much protein as i can. i've also been taking cycling classes and walking a bunch because it takes awhile to get places on campus.
I have not lost my hunger but I think alot of my hunger may be mental. i do crave carbs, but i've tried to appease that by having soy crisps ever so often. each bag has 18gm of carbs, 9gm of protein, and some calcium. it's not perfect but it's better than other alternatives.
was everyone else who started around 255 down around 35 pounds 7 weeks out? am i basically on track? i wish i was shrinking faster....

Wow, we had the same surgery date!! I was a little lighter than you but not much, weighing in at 226 on surgery day!! I too had the horrible stall at 3 weeks!! I have lost 28 pounds, so I think you might be doing a little better than me!! I lose about a pound every 3 or 4 days!! I wish I was shrinking faster too!!!

....so I would really like to know how long this will last also
