surgeon has to be insane (and some good moments)
Yes, I really like him...but he wants me to eat 4oz. First off, there is no way physically possible for that because I eat 1.5oz right now and am just DONE...but why would he want me to consume that quanity? Isnt that a lot? Esp with the swelling (which BTW when will that go down? Not that I mind I just am curious)
on another note, I feel like myself...I have energy...my son and I went to a festival this afternoon and had a lot of fun...Had my two week post-op appt..all is well. Surgeon said he noticed my loss in my face =) (makes me feel good someone other than me can see this) and hubby patted my tummy this morning and told me I was getting skinny (hardly-and thanks a lot butthole that you pat my stomach lol- but still a compliment!)

The 4ozs is a goal. Well thats how I took it. For fish you may be able to get there. White meat of chicken and red meat, I would be surprised if you can. I am 7.5 months out and 4oz of chicken breast is a challenge.
Break the 4ozs in two and eat more often..smaller meals concept. That way you get your protein in.
Good luck!

It will probably take a while to work up to the 4 oz. Plus it depends on what you are eating. 4 oz. of yogurt, maybe...4 oz. of solid protein...doubtful. I am almost 10 months out and can only eat 3-4 oz protein and an ounce or two of veggies in one sitting.
You will feel so much better as time goes by. You'll do things you couldn't do or were embarrassed to try. It's amazing how much your confidence level goes up after losing the weight.
