NSV... Nose piercings.. teenagers and tears...
So I went to the mall with my daughter, her bff and her bf's mom. They have a new tattoo shop at the mall… weird I know. I take in my ID and my daughters school ID to get her nose pierced and the man looks at us both and says "NO." very sternly. I said "um what?" He's like "you do not have the same last name" and tosses my ID back at me. I said well lots of parents don't have the same last names as their children." He just shakes his head and looks at me like Im a total liar. I asked "what if I have her birth certificate" he kind of rolls his eyes "Oh you have hers and your names on it. The name on your ID will match, right?"…... I reply "I cant go get it" and he just kind of walks off. Im totally stumped??? WTF is this dudes problem. My daughters friends mom follows him and then walks back over and says "okay he's going to let her do it"
Mind you by now my almost 14 year old is on the verge of tears, lip quivering. Why is was such a big deal I dunno, hormones I guess. I ask her (bf's mom) "what did you say to him" she's like Ill tell you later. So they get pierced and we leave with our bleeding teenagers. While were riding down on the elevator she says "He told me, there is no way that young girl is her Mother, no possible way. I can lose my license. She looks wayyyyy too young to have a 14 year old, its not possible, ID or not I wont do it!" So the BFFs mom says "she had her really young. I can swear to you thats her mom, Ive known them a long time" He then tells her "Okay you look trust worthy, Ill go ahead and do it" WTF….
Happy I look younger now…… thanks VSG
This would not have been an issue a year ago but damnnnnnn man…. really…. When I was done being mad I thought it was kinda nice.. and made me feel better about canceling my Botox apt last Friday! Apparently I don need that **** just yet!

im sure your daughter was thrilled you let her do it, my mom was not as cool as you, in fact quite square, and she let me get my eyebrow pierced at 14...which was quite scandalous at time..but anyway
