"Using" dreams are very common among alcoholics and addicts in recovery.  they are generally very vivid and people wake up terrified they have actually used and are so relieved when they find out it was a dream.  I have wondered if it was the brain trying to relieve some of the constant stress of "resisting" the urge.

Talk about crazy dreams, I had one a few weeks ago but the food was chasing me! a HUGE Big mac was chasing me down a street made of french fries, I woke up covered in sweat, guess I got my work out too,and I too was sure I was loosing my mind!

I'm Still a work in progress, I wont give up the quest to reclaim my life, I will be whole again someday!

I haven't had any food dreams yet but when I was on Optifast years ago I use to have food dreams involving naked women holding platters of Turkey and roast beef
I was in my late 20's at the time which would explane the naked women I suppose or it could be just a guy thing

Last night I woke up in cold sweat. In my dream I ate kebob and fresh salad. I didn't even like the kebob (amen). But I was so scared that I was eating the salad. I'm 2 weeks out.

Wish I had read this before my post! Yup in my dream I was devouring chicken wings, really big, crispy fried ones, with lots of soda, then I went on to eating  the insides of Italian hoagies, priding myself on not eating he roll.  I could see, taste and feel the food so vividly in the dream, just to wake up and not be the least bit hungry for any of it.
