FYI, it'll be a lot easier to manage your hunger once you are on solids.  Trust me :)  Dense proteins are awesome!  I just finished up an ounce of fish, ounce of cheese, and quarter cup mandarin oranges, and I am full!!  I won't be hungry again for at least 2 hours.

I was having hunger a few days after my surgery but it didn't last long and then I was never hungry and had to remind myself to eat.  Now that I'm a little over a year out my hunger has returned with a vengeance.

I had no hunger the first 2 weeks but as another poster said i had horrible pain and i think i just didn't notice anything else. I had a drain stapled in and it was cutting my flesh plus lower ab stuff.  Then the 3rd and 4th week i had horrible hunger.  hunger i couldn't deal with and i thought what have i done?  I don't want to live like this forever. I was basically white knuckling it until i could have my next meal. Then in the 5th week it died down some.  There was still hunger but it wassomewhat manageable. I would eat and be more than ready to eat again at 2 hours.  At 10 weeks the hunger went away again.  It doesn't correspond with anything hormonal happening so i really can't explain it but hope to hell it stays gone.
