Swallow results and Dr. response!!!!

 So I got my swallow test today and they saw alot of reflux.  The lady said no wonder I was having issues and that I had severe reflux but she would send over to radiologist to make sure nothing else is wrong.  So I just got a call from my Doc and he says your swallow test came out perfect. Huh???? Really????  He didn't even mention the reflux so I say well that's funny the lady told me she saw severe relux.  He's like well yeah there is some reflux there from drinking too much too fast.  WTF how can he tell where, what and how my reflux came from.  Guess some people won't admit when they are wrong.  I am on Protonix now and hopefully that fixes my issues.  Kerry

I hate your doctor!

If it makes you feel any better, I once had a broken arm and the doctor came in with my x-ray. He said, "Your arm's not broken. You probably just banged it up a bit."

I looked at the x-ray (I had a bone tumor in my arm a couple of decades ago; I've looked at LOTS of x-rays), pointed, and said, "What about that broken bone right there?"

And mid-stream, without missing a beat and without any sense of irony WHATSOEVER, he replied, "Yes, your arm is broken, so we are going to splint it for a few days to let the swelling go down before we cast it.

Most doctors are great. Some are morons.

Wow. I think I would have walked out right then and there and never looked back...

I hope the Protonix kicks in and you feel better. . . He's still a douchebag HA.

And, I'm still shaking my head that he thinks it's your fault you have reflux. You had it pre-op, you've had classic symptoms, and it's not like he's got a crystal ball.

I work in radiology and you can go to the facility and get the results of your tests. It will tell you everything that the radiologist said about your scan.  It doesn't cost anything either.  It is just a printed pieceof paper. 
I also know all about the its not broke.  I am an xray and nuclear med tech. My daughter broke her arm and it was told at er.  They splinted it and sent her to a orthopedic doctor to cast it.  He told me it was not broke and pushed on the area where she hurt.  I said its broke there are swollen fatpads. He got snotty and told me what fat pads were and they were suppose to show up.  I said I know exactly what they are Im an xray tech and they represent a break swollen tissue a sprain then I had to get up and show him the break on the xray in front of his resident.  He didn't know what to say.  He wouldn't come back in the room anymore and before I left said he would of casted it just because it hurt. I said yeah right and insurance would have laughed at you.  I was so mad.  Shes ok and thank the Lord I knew or she really could have messed her arm up bad

is there anyway you can get a new doc?  he sounds like a real ass.

hope that fixes it, my sister had a stress test last month and some how her diagnosis got mixed up with someone else test, and they had her believing she was dying, her PCP told her it looked like she needed a valve replacement and that she should not be able to walk up stairs or walk to the mailbox. but when the cardiologist listened to her he said something is not right, your heart sounds perfectly normal and the stress test is normal but the diagnosis on the test does not match!!! good news for her but bad news for someone else. crazy!!!!! if you don't feel the protonix is helping, go back to the Dr. and keep going until you get the results you want!!! good luck to you sleeve sister.
