Thanksgiving ideas??? HELP
I'm only 6 weeks out but my plan is to eat turkey for lunch with a bite or 2 of mashed potatos. Then at dinner, turkey with a bite or 2 of green bean casserole and if I have dessert, it will be about a tablespoon of SF vanilla pudding with a slice of banana and maybe a few crumbs of vanilla wafers. That will be the extent of my cheating for the day.
Good Luck with your Thanksgiving meal!
Good Luck with your Thanksgiving meal!
I am by no means a vet... and actually am scheduled to work Thanksgiving this year so this won't be quite as big of a deal for me, but I've done countless family parties post op, which always have lots and lots of food. And, I never realized how many celebrations my family has... it seems like there is something every other week... but that is another topic.
Usually I just stick with whatever protein there is and make that the main part of my meal... then if there is something else that is really good or really special, then I help myself to 1 bite of it... I figure 1 bite will not make me feel deprived while everyone else is wolfing down in front of me... and when I am full, I stop... no matter how many times the food pushers try to get me to eat more...
I would recommend making what you usually make... just make sure there is a protein source for you and a veggie.
