No movement since one week post-op
During this week, please post your food and liquid intake into one of the trackers so you can see whether you are meeting the intake requirements/limits that your surgeon has set. If you don't have any requirements, aim for 70 grams of protein, 600 - 800 calories and no more than 40 carbs daily. Hopefully by logging every day you can see whether you need any adjustments.
Oh Lani, I am so sorry for your disappointment!! Please don't give up! There are a lot of vets here who have more experience than obviously I do since I haven't even been sleeved yet, but I hope and pray you can work through this despair to get the results you need. Just do not give up!!
Hang in there friend!
Hang in there friend!
Just another voice urging you to keep on keeping on! Like someone else said, if your calories in are less then the calories out, you will lose weight.
You've gotten lots of great advice here. Are you using protein shots by any chance? I remember someone posting about them a while back, and am not sure if it was you. If so, your actual protein intake would be way low and could be causing problems (if that wasn't you, sorry!).
Also, do you think you could be retaining water? That would hide weight loss too.
Perhaps it would be worthwhile for you to get your resting metabolic rate tested somewhere, so you can see if it is lower than would be expected.
Another thought is whether you've been tested for thyroid problems, as having hypothyroidism can impact weight loss or cause gain.
Hang in there, and be aggressive with tracking your food and fluids like others have said. That's the first step to identifying the problem. You'll get through this!
