I'm back from Mexico!!!!!

I am back from having the sleeve in mexico with Dr.Kelly .
I had a wonderful experiecne all the way around.
I also had my gall bladder out.

I feel great  , am able to drink water well ,and jello, juice etc. I go on to full liquids in 3 days.
I am a little brusied by my insicions , but not bad.
I threw up quite a bit right after surgery as I am VERY sensitive to the strong pain meds. I am more sore from that then the surgery.

I always felt very safe. Even went out shopping a little.
Anyway overall experience was great and I would recommend going to Dr. Kelly to anyone that wants this surgery!!

Welcome home and congradultions on having your surgery. I too was a little bruised around the incision, but it healts quickly.
I can't even imagine  throwing up. Yuck I hate it even before surgery.
I had surgery in Mexico also with Dr Aceves and had a wonderful experiance. I would highly recommend it.

I'm glad to see that you had a successful experience, I am curious about your followup care. How will that be managed?

My primary care Dr. here will do everything I need post -op. She is awesome and was totally onboard with me going to Mexico for surgery. I will see her at one month out for my first labs and then just check labs at 3-6-9 12 mo. unless I need her for something else.

I had my surgery with dr. Kelly a week ago. We may have overlapped!
My experience was great as well. Sorry to hear you had vomiting issues. I didn't through up at all but had some gas pain.

I felt very safe too. I walked all around Tijuana.

I would highly recommend dr. Kelly too. His price is a lot cheaper than aceves and he is just as good/experienced. He is now in the 3 big american associations (forgot what they are but the big one is where they have an f.a.c.s. after their names. ) A well know Dr. here in the states nominated him. He said it was a three year process to get into. So yes, he is a great surgeon!
