6 wk ck up! Totally rocking the sleeve!!!

Had my 6 wk today.  Down 36 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!  Also cleared from all limitations and most foods.  The nut actually says l need to eat more.  l have a hard time eating, waiting to drink, waiting to eat and so on, but... as the swelling goes down l can eat an extra bite here and there.

l am extremely happy, feel amaaazing and have NSVs every single day.  l haven't foamed or puked yet. (knock on wood!!) and have settled into a good routine.  l'm down 3 sizes and desperately need new undies!! lol!!!!!!!  My family is esctatic because mommy is very happy.  Everyone's eating better and my hubby has even lost 20 lbs throughout the past few months.  lf l add the 13 lbs pre-op, l'm at 49 lbs. lost.  l can't even believe l'm typing these words, it's so surreal.

l just want to tell the newbies or undecided that the sleeve is a very, very viable solution and should be seriously considered.  But you MUST follow the rules explicibly.

l also highly recommend the Rocco Despirito cookbooks.  He's a Food Network star that has taken classic recipes and taken the sugar/fat/cals out without sacrificing any flavor.  The entire family thoroughly enjoys the food, also.  No reason to suffer with tasteless food just because we're restricted!!

Thanks for reading! ---Y

I'm so happy for you!    You are doing so well and good for your hubby!  I bought the RS cookbook just before surgery and haven't tried it out yet.  Now I'll dust it off and try something.  Any suggestions?

 Thank you so much!!

l don't know which book you bought, but if it has the bbq sauce in it - it's a MUST!  l serve it up with some slow-cooked roast (l have a special recipe for that, too from somewhere else).  l have no bread of course, but the family freaks on it.   l made the hollandaise sauce, but will not use near as much lemon juice as it called for next time. Everyone loved that, too.  The chicken nuggets are incredible, and so is the sweet potato gnocchi.  l can't remember what else l've made from him.  If you want l'll message you the recipe for the roast...

Yes please!  I love pork.  I think the book I have is yellow and maybe "now eat this" is the title.  I'm always looking for new chicken!
