WOW!!! I didn't want to throw anything out at first
so I got home had literally a sliver of turkey still not ready for poultry yet stuck feeling the worst yet almost lost it... finally went down... I live with my sister and my nephew and her BF in our house... they're all slim I asked them if they wanted any left overs they said no... I was agonizing over having to throw out the rest of the 22lbs turkey I made prob had about 25 lbs of left overs after sending the rest of my 4 brothers and sisters home with tons of food... I'm usually the one that would make all the great leftover thanksgiving meals that would be totally gone by day 3, but I'm thinking now I'm not gonna cook near as much as I have before, needles to say our dogs ate really good... I'm kinda excited to try some different recipes instead of the same butter basted turkey with salt and pepper.. I'm think just some turkey breast cook lean next year... it's crazy how much my surgery has forced a holiday change lol... for the better I'm glad I worked most of the day and got rid of the leftovers all at once... I love my VSG
It does amaze me how our eating and cooking habits change post-vsg. I had been so used to cooking for a family of 5, now it's just the hubby and me. It's nice to know I can literally buy anything (even the really expensive meats), knowing that I can stretch 1# of something into several meals for us. Best wishes in this journey!
